Currently On Kickstarter: The Genius Garden Tarot & The ‘Journey’ Tarot

After not backing anything on Kickstarter for ages (trying to be strict with myself!), I’m currently backing two gorgeous decks.

The first is the Genius Garden Tarot by Jessi Huntenburg. This is a super cute, hand painted, standard 78-card deck with a warm, hopeful art style. I love the way when you spread the deck out the card backs make it look like the hands are extending into one long arm – so clever. And – YOU GUYS – THIS FOOL CARD – I CAN’T EVEN…

The pledge tiers start at $49 (about £40) for a deck + guidebook.

The second deck is the ‘Journey’ Tarot Deck by Teagan Michael Turner (check out more of their gorgeous art, as well as how the deck is progressing, on Instagram). This is a more abstract take on the Tarot, but I really love the artist’s interpretations, and the art style is lush, dense, and complex.

Pledge tiers start at $70 (£57) for a deck with a velvet carry bag and a black & white booklet. I’m not a big fan of carry bags, I much prefer boxes, and for the gorgeous magnetic box pictured above (and a colour LWB), it’s $99 (£80), so a bit pricey, but you can see the amount of work and love the artist has poured into this deck.
